Poppleton U15s 1
Pocklington Pumas U15s 2

The over night snow had all but gone as the Pumas ran out away at Poppleton on a cold clear day. Pumas exerted early pressure and took the lead on 4 minutes when a nice cross from Chris was comfortably collected by their
keeper who then dropped the ball over his line under pressure.

Pumas had a number of chances but never really made much of their opportunities, whilst Jack in goal was called on to make some easy saves. However after 20 minutes, confusion at the back allowed Poppleton to equalise.

Shane, having yet another good game, soon recovered the lead for the Pumas as he drilled in a nice low shot under the keeper to make it 2-1. After this the goals dried up for the rest of the match although Pumas had the lion’s share of the play and really should have dispatched Poppleton.

However they continually left the door open and were lucky that the Poppleton attack could not capitalise on the chances which inevitably came. Cal in attack fought hard and Tom and Ryan did their bit as did Jordan when he got his chance. Sammy and Ben stood up to the challenge and TJ had a good run out. Another victory, keeping the Pumas in pole position.
