The East Yorkshire chill and snow had spared Tadcaster a visit, and after a brief snowball fight, Dragons set off for Tadcaster in search of some points. With football next year likely to be eleven a side and with Po
cklington's league status being decided by Dragons' finishing position this season, it was vital to pick up points from Tadcaster who sit one place above them at the foot of the table.

Whilst there was no snow at Tadcaster, the pitch was wet and bumpy and the home side used this to their advantage to play the longer ball down the hill. One such attack led to the opening goal where the ball struck an unlucky defender before deflecting past Jack Potter in goal.

At the back Joe Carroll tackled strongly alongside Tom Stubley and Joey Cahill against a physical Tadcaster front line. Dragons played three across the middle with Jake Dunham pushing forward with service from Elliot Russell and Fraser Hansen.

Dragons equalised in the first half when Fraser sent Jake through to beat off all defensive tackles before drilling the ball past the keeper.

In the second half Jonty Peters took up a central midfield position which allowed Fraser to move to his more familiar wide left position and this created more chances for the Dragons. The match continued to be equally balanced with Jake unlucky on a couple of occasions and to balance, Joe Caroll in his best game of the season, thwarting Tadcaster's attacks. Dragons also needed Jack Potter's bravery at the end of the match as he dived to save at the feet of a striker.

A draw was a fair result, but Dragons have something on which to build and some real challenges for places.
