PUPILS from Pocklington celebrated the end of school life in style with a glitzy prom evening.
The leavers from Woldgate College swapped their usual uniforms for smart tuxedos and expensive ball gowns for the event held at York Racecourse.

More than 200 of the students, who have completed their GCSE exams, attended with many arriving in style.

Some hired stretched limousines, Ferraris and vintage cars for the occasion, while one group of friends certainly made a grand entrance – in a huge truck.

Sarah Geary, who is head of year 11 at the school said: "It was a fantastic, I was really proud of them, they all looked the part.
"The feedback has been great, they all had a good time and the venue was fantastic."
