NOCTURNAL fundraisers are gearing up for a 10km trek this weekend.
Workers form the Sue Ryder Care shop in Pocklington will be joining hundreds of others for the walk through Bridlington on Saturday evening.

All the money raised will go to Sue Ryder Care, based at Holme Hall in Holme-on-Spalding Moor.

The charity offers help to people living with severely debilitating conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Huntington’s disease, Motor Neurone disease and acquired brain injury.

Dedicating the walk to her father who died 20 years ago of motor neurone disease, manager of the Pocklington charity shop Michelle Richardson has been gearing up for the event by taking walks with her dog Molly.

She said: “There’s three of us doing it from the shop and a few more people around Pocklington who are doing it.

“I’ll be working that day so I’ll be absolutely shattered but it’s all for a good cause.”

“I think it’s the perfect opportunity to raise extra funds to support the work carried out by the charity in the region.”

Anyone wanting to sponsor the workers can visit the shop on Market Place.
