Netflix hit Bridgerton's 63 million views means global subscribers are seeing Yorkshire's Castle Howard

Raunchy period drama Bridgerton has become a massive streaming hit - meaning tens of millions of viewers will have set eyes on Yorkshire.

The Regency romance is projected to be seen by more than 63 million households in its first four weeks, according to Netflix, and Variety reported that it held the number one slot in 76 countries on the streaming service’s top 10 list.

Bridgerton is one of the latest global television hits to have been partly filmed in Yorkshire, with Castle Howard and Coneysthorpe featuring as Clyvedon Castle and village, the Duke of Hastings’ family estate.
