Batley Bulldogs 54 Whitehaven 6: Batley overcome early shock to romp to win
It was full-back Campbell who edged ahead of his team-mate, claiming the plaudits with his fourth try – a 70-metre spectacular – just five minutes from time while centre Maun had to be content with a hat-trick.
The ground was stunned into silence, however, when Leroy Joe took advantage of slack defence to send hooker Graeme Mattinson over the line for Whitehaven's sole try after only five minutes.

Five minutes later a diagonal run by Campbell saw him claim his opening try and, after Chris Buttery and Paul Handforth had also touched down, Campbell added another.
Campbell grabbed his hat-trick after the break thanks to smart play between scrum-half Gareth Moore and wingman Lee Greenwood. Maun then showed electric pace to outwit the closing defence with a tremendous touchline run to grab his hat trick.
But speed and anticipation saw Campbell claim his fourth shortly before the end to which Moore, who had failed with two early conversion attempts, landed his seventh goal.
