Cumberland star is too hot for the Congs
Despite the Cumberland batsman’s heroics his team remain 25 points adrift of champions Cleckheaton (209) after they made 310-7 in beating New Farnley by 80 runs.
Weston hit six sixes and 10 fours after hostile bowling from James Pearson (4-69) reduced Woodlands to 17-3.

Hide AdCaptain Pieter Swanepoel (43) put on 115 for the fourth-wicket with Weston in posting 225-8. Congs, despite 57 from opener Callum Geldart, were dismissed for 158, off-spinner Weston taking 3-52 and teenage paceman Elliot Richardson 3-13.
Cleckheaton had good knocks from James Lee (67), Mally Nicholson (64), Ian Nicholson (60) and Chris Dobson (44).
Despite half-centuries from Joe Bedford (57)and Dave McCallum (54) plus 47 from Rishi Limbechaya, New Farnley were all out for 230, leg-spinner Tanzeel Altaf (4-60) and Iain Wardlaw (4-69) doing the damage.
Third-placed Pudsey St Lawrence’s enjoyed a six-wicket win at Lightcliffe. Off-spinner Steve Watts claimed 5-29 as the home side were dismissed for 136 despite Oliver Robinson’s 46.

At East Bierley, left-arm spinner Luke Jarvis took 7-81 as Bradford & Bingley made 258-7, Noman Ali hit 74 not out and captain Phil Slater 69.
Jarvis was overshadowed by some hostile fast bowling from Matthew Simpson, who took 7-49 as East Bierley fell for 116. They were 29-7 before Richard Atkins (45no) and Muhammad Irshad (35) offered some resistance.
