Sports car group Lotus to axe 99
Employees at the company’s plant in Hethel, Norfolk, have beentold their roles could be at risk after Lotus Cars launched a consultation. In a letter to staff, chief executive Dany Bahar said there was “a need to reduce headcount in a number of areas”.
But a spokesman said the restructuring could lead to fresh recruitment in the near future.

Hide AdThe company hopes to have identified the precise number of employees affected by June 17. It has invited applications for voluntary redundancy.
Group Lotus is a subsidiary of Malaysia’s Proton Holdings and is itself a parent company which owns car manufacturer Lotus Cars and Lotus Engineering.
