Oxford Street incident not terror related
A 54-year-old man was arrested yesterday and is assisting police with enquiries after police executed a warrant on his property on Oxford Street, Bridlington (August 4).
The pre-planned operation took place yesterday (August 4) following reports of illegal chemicals being stored at the property.

Hide AdA multi-agency gold command group of key emergency services continues to manage the situation.
Superintendent Ed Cook said: "We will be moving the chemicals which introduces an element of risk, and in order to protect the public and ensure their safety we have evacuated them again.
"The chemicals will be disposed of safely with the support of the EOD and forensic scientists. There is likely to be a series of very small controlled explosions in the area."
As the police cordon of Oxford Street remains in place today, The Spa Bridlington will continue to be available to residents who have no other alternative accommodation.

Hide AdThe customer service centre at the town hall in Bridlington will operate as a drop-in centre for information for residents and will remain open until 8pm.
