Inquiry to be held on wind farm plans
A planning inspector will now decide whether to allow the turbines to be sited near Fraisthorpe beach, after East Riding Council failed to determine the matter within the statutory eight-week period.
Residents are opposing the plans and their concerns include the size of the proposed turbines, which would stand 62ft higher than the dome of St Paul’s Cathedral.

Hide AdAir navigation service provider, National Air Traffic Services Ltd, has also objected to the wind farm, saying the turbines could generate “false plots” on the primary radar service about 40 miles near Claxby, high on the Lincolnshire Wolds.
